about

Happy Friday! And for your challenge this week: On the 2nd of February in 1980, the famous, some would say notorious, Disco nightclub, and location of many parties containing famous actors and notable celebrities, Studio 54 held a ‘last bash’ before it was closed by the authorities investigating the owners for Tax evasion. In attendance, were Liza Minnelli, Diana Ross, Farrah Fawcett, Jack Nicholson, Richard Gere, and Sylvester Stallone amongst others.Your challenge is to write a jam that you would want to have been played at that final disco party night in February 1980.You don’t have to limit yourselves to Disco, any form of dance or party music will do, and it doesn’t have to be from the 70s or 80s, but try and capture the feeling of freedom, excess, Extravagance and Hedonism that the nightclub was famous for. Please only submit jams made over the challenge weekend.Challenge is open until Monday afternoon. Stream will be on Monday Night. Please keep jams to under 5 minutes.

I don't really know i've i made disco, but hopefully something approaching funky disco /tech might emerge... I used the Casio for a lot of the strings, brass and bass sounds. Robot effect on the rc505 tuning my voice to different notes of Fm7 to say 'Get the Funk up'
